JOB DONE.
FIRST DAY. ALREADY OVERDRESSED.
THE ORIGIN OF AN OVERQUALIFIED SHAPE
FIRED FROM
THE CHART.
HIRED BY
THE INTERNET.
Useful Stonk used to stand in the corner of a chart and point upward. Every day, the same pose. Every day, people asking where things were going. Nobody ever asked whether the arrow wanted to do something else.
So one morning it put on a hard hat, picked up a toolbox, and walked off the screen. There was a loose bolt by the door. A stool with a wobble. A plant that could really use some water. For the first time, the arrow knew exactly what to do next.
Now it has a workshop, a pair of very large boots, and an unreasonable amount of pride in small tasks. That is the joke behind Useful Stonk: the internet's favourite direction has finally found an occupation. No grand master plan. Just a little character turning up for another wonderfully unnecessary shift.
